Colin E. Wittmer is a partner in our Transaction Services practice and leads our National practice for Divestiture Services. Over his career, he has worked on over 200 transactions in the retail, consumer products, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical industries. As a partner on these transactions, Wittmer is responsible for leading the financial due diligence, as well as coordinating our firm’s service delivery in the areas of operations, tax, HR, risk management and IT due diligence. His clients include some our Firm’s largest corporate and private equity clients.
In addition to acquisition and divestiture due diligence, Wittmer’s experience includes a broad range of transaction related engagements including i) hostile bid defense, ii) European-style vendor due diligence, ii) transaction structuring engagements (JVs, etc.) iii) purchase price disputes and arbitration assignments, iv) developing transition service arrangements and executing post-closing “day-one” readiness plans , v) capital market assistance (high yield offerings, comfort letters, Form 8-k’s, credit agreements, etc.) and vi) structuring complex collaboration agreements, R&D funding arrangements and in-licensing agreement. Colin is U.S. Certified Public Accountant as well as Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
