Lawrence J. Salva CPA

Lawrence J. Salva is Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Comcast Corporation. As Chief Accounting Officer, he is responsible for external financial and management reporting, corporate accounting and corporate internal controls, risk management, and support of the corporate financial planning and analysis functions.

Prior to joining Comcast in January 2000, Salva was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers for over 12 years, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility. Following the merger of Coopers & Lybrand and Pricewaterhouse in 1998, Salva served as the national technical accounting consulting partner and regional risk management partner for PwC's Southeast Region. He also served as a Professional Accounting Fellow with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission's Office of the Chief Accountant.

He previously served as Chairperson of the Committee on Corporate Reporting, the senior technical committee of Financial Executives International and continues as a member of its Executive Subcommittee. Salva currently serves on the Emerging Issues Task Force of the Financial Accounting Standards Board and on the Board of Trustees of Rowan University and is a former member of the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

Salva graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rowan University. He is a CPA in Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Financial Executives International. Salva has been named to Business Finance magazine's top 60 influencers list and to Treasury and Risk magazine's 100 Most Influential People in Finance list. He also was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Rowan University in 2013.
